Meet Sojourner

Sojourner Marable Grimmett is a compassionate servant leader and visionary executive with a heart for people and a deep commitment to community, spanning over 25 years across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

A proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Pennsylvania State University, Sojourner’s career includes public health, communications, and policy. Her leadership and advocacy are exemplified by her co-leadership in the installation of lactation pods at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for breastfeeding mothers, advancing affordable housing initiatives, expanding access to Medicaid, Marketplace, and Medicare, securing funding for Title I schools to provide free art supplies, and addressing food insecurity among youth and seniors.

Her unwavering commitment to community service has earned her numerous accolades, including Atlanta Business League’s Top 100 Black Women of Influence, Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40, and Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40.
